From the Halifax Stanfield Airport take Highway 102 South. Take Exit 1A to Highway 103 West. Continue to Exit 10 to Mahone Bay. It will take you about 1 hour and 20 minutes in total. You'll find us there in the heart of town at 457 Main Street.

COVID-19 POLICIES

At Red Mahone Bed & Breakfast, we want our guests to feel safe and confident while vacationing with us. We have a few 2020 policies we want you to be aware of.

1. We will be operating at less than full capacity. We are only booking 2 of our three rooms. This will allow for proper Social Distancing and thorough cleaning/sanitizing of rooms and common areas upon check-out.

2. We will not be offering our usual Full Breakfast. Instead, we will offer a Continental Breakfast upon request (included in your room price). Guests will be able to request items the night before, and have them ready in the morning. We have lots of indoor and outdoor spaces where you can enjoy your goodies! (If you prefer a larger meal, we encourage you to visit one of our lovely local restaurants for eat-in or takeout service. Info will be available in your room.)

3. Credit Card and eTransfer payments only. Your room bill will be processed through our computer system, and emailed directly to you, so you can have a touch free check-out experience.

LODGING POLICIES

Red Mahone Bed and Breakfast is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. We want our policy to be fair for our guests, yet prevent loss of income to our B&B by cancellations. We cannot be responsible for travel delays, health issues, inclement weather or early departures.

Due to our limited number of rooms, cancellations affect us greatly, so when situations arise that necessitate a cancellation, we sympathize, however, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy:

If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 3 (three) days* prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation.

In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than three (3) days* notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be made. Should you not give us 72 hours notice, or fail to show, we reserve the right to charge your credit card the full cost of your stay, less any nights we are able to re-let.

Rates/policies are subject to change and may vary during high impact periods and special requests. *

Check-in: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements.

Check-out: 11:00 AM.

Absolutely No Smoking Inside; however designated outdoor smoking areas are available.

No Pets. Please call for help in making arrangements to board your pet.

GIFT CERTIFICATE POLICIES

Gift certificates must be presented at check-in along with a valid driver's license. Gift certificates are transferable. Any remaining amount on gift certificates can be used at a later day up to the expiration date. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.

AUTO-COLLECT
Payment for gift certificates is collected at the time of purchase.

CHILDREN & PETS
Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. Children age 5 and under stay free. Pets are not allowed.

Your credit card information is stored and processed securely.
